RG KAR judgement – MISOGYNY

RG KAR judgement – MISOGYNY

AJS – Talking of the Rights and Entitlements of Women

The Unsavoury Truth – Wither to
From Paper Laws . . . . to misogyny

Part II
R G Kar Medical College, Calcutta

We have made a very clear, specific declaration of our basic, guiding
thought that decides the appropriateness of every activity of this open
platform, society and life –

“Achieving Our Vision

Establish ‘The Rule of Law’
“The rule of law is a principle of governance in which all persons, institutions and
entities, public and private, including the State itself, are accountable to laws that
are publicly promulgated, equally enforced and independently adjudicated, and
which are consistent with international human rights norms and standards.

It requires, as well,
a. measures to ensure adherence to the principles of supremacy of law,
b. equality before the law,
c. accountability to the law,
d. fairness in the application of the law,
e. separation of powers,
f. participation in decision-making,
g. legal certainty, avoidance of arbitrariness and
h. procedural and legal transparency.”

“Report of the UN Secretary-General: The rule of law and transitional justice in conflict and post-conflict
societies ” (S/2004/616) (para. 6). https://www.uianet.org/en/uia-irol”

R G Kar Medical College, Calcutta and the mockery being played out on all
concerned citizens with impunity, is a Tsunami that has destroyed the basic fabric,
concepts, guidelines and structure of our society by promoting criminal activity and
inducing fear to erode the oneness of humanity by government law enforcement
institutions and agencies.

It is important to put on record that the R G Kar Medical College, Calcutta has
an army of service personnel working round-the-clock, all pleading
ignorance and impeccable alibis.

Presentation of the entire crime seems to be one of collusion from the top-most levels
to the lowest. It is evident that everyone was fully aware of what happened and it was
not the first time.

What was this mad haste for suppression and destruction of evidence. Why – what
was the need for the several deviations from the path of truth and to divert attention?
Are our government employees sworn to conceal a crime of unacceptable proportions
to protect wrong-doing. The CBI has been sadly lacking and failed to stand-up to
public expectations

The slowly but surely, the ingrained all-pervading darkness of Misogynistic
aberrations {disorders of one’s mental state}, the chronic inheritance of millenniums
of a sick, male dominated feudal society was in control.

Men in India grow-up in a make-believe atmosphere that states ‘you are a man
and YOU can do no wrong – the world is your foot mat’.

This psychotic attitude, a chronic sickness handed down over millenniums
without any room for acceptance in the world of tomorrow lacking any perception or
contact with reality, perverted, distorted, exists and continually raises its ugly head in
the form of mob violence and then negotiated in an atmosphere of terror that can be
unleashed at the drop of a pin.

The process of law has been totally destroyed with a documentation and presentation
in the Court of Law that ignores the gravity of the entire crime, of the involvement
of institutions of the State established to bar, protest this abuse of power, of the
involvement of seniors at every level, in fact top-most functionaries involved and
abused their authority/ power to perpetrate wrong doing and the best of lawyers
prop-up a crime against humanity under the plea that such incidents raise/feed our
emotions and sense of judgement?

What indeed is obnoxious, are the following issues of concern:

  1. The perpetrator was a professional police stooge and informant with a chain
of bad past criminal records; a man maintained and sustained by the police
    department itself.
  2. Despite access to the best medical facilities and morgue what was the
compulsion in a speedy – URGENT disposal of the body and the evidence.
  3. Which person in authority issued instructions for the above procedure and
what were the other issues and evidences destroyed in a single move?
  4. An endeavour has been made to cover several other even more heinous
crimes which was the reason for such a massive hue and cry.
  5. As has been seen in the past few years why is the police so interested in
destroying evidence and in the performance of the last rites of victims?

The remarks of people in authority empowered to remark or comment certainly raise
questions.
