We help people overcome difficult situations, insecurity, accidents, subsequent litigation and seeking justice, accident victims, poor health conditions and most of all the insecurity and uncertainties that develop of living – jobless, alone with life-style related problems.
The support and the presence of just one more person in times of stress is a big help – to have a person who is not working for self-aggrandisement or brand projection/ fund generation by projecting photographs of another’s duress.
We photograph no one or situations of the work we do – our photographs document the changes we introduce and wish to see in others; to bring to the world the step-by-step changes we leave behind for our children. The people who support us are evidence of the work we do.
ASJ is concerned about the world we are leaving for our children – no one can eat money – money cannot buy you sleep or free you from pain.
Our collaborators in the development sector have delivered Trojan work through the years without seeking awards, building assets or, hunting for grants-in-aid. The ASJ team believe in delivering what we can ‘make happen’ in the immediate present and provide succour.
Development work must not depend upon external support.
Development agencies are forever talking about the need for people to develop sustainable activity that creates economic independence. However, the saying ‘Physician – heal thyself’ aptly identifies the international development scenario, developing a ‘brand identity’ and tells how far they are from what they preach.
